DANI McVEIGH
Coming from a sporting background, Dani's initial interest in physiotherapy quickly developed into a passion for neurological rehabilitation. Dani has since gained nearly a decade of experience across public and private hospital settings in Melbourne, half of which has been neurologically focused. She completed her Graduate Diploma in Neurological Rehabilitation in 2023.
Dani has recently returned to Melbourne after a few years pursuing her dream of travelling and working at London's National Hospital of Neurology and Neurosurgery (NHNN). Dani had the opportunity to treat a diverse range of presentations including progressive neurological conditions, spinal cord injuries, brain injuries, stroke and cerebral palsy. She spent a year solely in the NHNN's spasticity team which has created a passion for the management of these patients.
Dani takes a patient-centered care approach to her work, taking time to understand each patient's unique goals and motivations. She has recently added to her skillset with the completion of the Basic Bobath Course and has previously completed courses in serial casting, upper limb rehabilitation and Functional Electrical Stimulation.
In her downtime, Dani enjoys swimming, cycling and a good glass of wine. Any recommendations for a robust red are always welcome!
